“But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went”
Greetings b rethren,
Persecution is one thing Christian we will face during our time of kingdom service on earth. Whether we are scattered through violence as the first followers of Christ were after the stoning of Stephen or as the Christians have been after the recent attacks on Coptic Christians in Egypt, or simply through the natural process of life, we must embrace the scattering as an opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Jerusalem church was centrally located, a light on a hill, and because the Good News was penetrating the local area, persecution rose up against the church and strategically attacked it! Brothers and sisters we are obvious, critical targets for evil intention but believe the gospel when it reveals to you that because of your standing in Christ, Satan has no power over you!
God confirms His promise of Holy power over worldly evil by demonstrating the effects persecution had on the church in Jerusalem, “Believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went” (Acts 8:4)!!
What ever persecution you may be facing right now, know for certain that God is going to work through it to bring the gospel message to someone or many in your path. Rise up Church and see God in your every circumstance. Do not be deceived by the evil one in this world, be over-comers in Jesus Christ as He proclaims to heaven and earth we are!
No longer assume your persecution is a consequence of sin only. Let God walk you through your condition and if it be sin, REPENT! But if God reveals your condition is the result of spiritual warfare, stand firm on the “Good News” and let those in bondage around you hear about Jesus Christ! Rejoice in the persecution you are facing! Your condition is revealing the truth about Christ to those God has brought before you!!
Rejoice! And again I say, REJOICE!
